Theo Pulls the Trigger

I couldn't believe it but the Sox traded Manny away today to the Dodgers and got Jason Bay to replace him. As a Yankee fan it makes me happy because we don't have to deal with the Ortiz/Manny 1-2 punch but as a sports fan it makes me even happier because its great to see a team finally say ENOUGH to a selfish, me first player. Playoff hopes be damned. Simply put, Manny is a disgrace to baseball, thankfully he's wasn't on the Yankees. How much did the Sox wanted to get rid of this guy? The Dodgers aren't paying anything for his services. Maybe there is some hope in sports.

Yankess Make Their Move

So the Yankees made another move today, trading Kyle Farnsworth to the Tigers for Pudge Rodriguez. At first I didn't think this move was not necessary for the Yankees but the more I thought about this, I really like this move. Molina is a very good catcher but is not a great hitter and a catching tandem of Pudge and Molina it makes the team that much better and putting Rodriguez on the Yankees will surely fire him up. Farnworth or as I like to call him Farnsworthless has been been pitching well of late but I'm not going to shed a tear now that he's gone. Another good move by Cashman.

A New Sports Blog

So I thought this would be a good idea to share thoughts/ideas with a couple of friends in the east coast about all our various sports teams. I hope we'll have some fun with this and have some good discussions about baseball, football, hockey, basketball although I have a feeling that baseball will be the biggest discussion topic.
